The tradition of Cantina di Locorotondo’s wine production goes on thanks to the will and the care of 1300 producers associates that with great tenacity, quality that characterizes farmers, cultivate selected grapes, overcoming the difficulties of this hard work due to the peculiar feature of the rocky ground. In fact, to plant a vineyard it is necessary to dig deeply in order to arrive where rocks stand and so plant can find a cool place for its survival and absorb precious mineral substances to harmonize them in its fruit.
Skilled and constant care that during the year farmers dedicate to vineyards together with geologic and climatic features of the territory, create a harmonic union in order to help grapes maturation and then with great care grapes are selected for the vinification.
