In the middle of Valle d’Itria,
scattered by a myriad of trulli standing out from the green vineyards,
where Murgia descends to Ionian Sea in one direction and to Adriatic
Sea in the other, Locorotondo stands in a hill
and with its whitewashed historic centre designed by a simple
Mediterranean architecture together with the surrounding territory
creates a fairy-tale environment that brings back in time and
reminds the past.
Like passion for grapevine cultivation handed on from generation
to generation and eternal heritage of the peculiar rural and historical
culture of this zone: in fact, some documents of 1195 state Locorotondo
as wine producer. |
